Breakfast bowls for babies…um yes please! Am I the only mom who wracks her brain as to what to feed my 14 month old?! For the most part George is a good eater and not picky. There are some days though, I just do not know what to make for him. Over the course of this year I want to incorporate more mom posts, so this is my first for 2017! I hope it makes your mornings a little less stressful! 🙂
Oatmeal Banana Bowl
I start off by blending up the dry oats to create this bowl. I then cook them in milk. Once cooked I add:
1/2 – 1 Banana
Dash of Cinnamon
Splash of Vanilla
1 tsp. of almond butter
George literally has eaten this bowl for months. It has only been in the last few weeks that he has tired of it and I have had to come up with more ideas.:) It is so tasty that I have finished it a few times when he announced he was done!
The beauty of this bowl, is you can really just use whatever fruit you have on hand to create the smoothie.
I blend 1 banana and 1/2 of an avocado together, I then add a little agave nectar or honey to sweeten it up just a bit. Once blended, you can simply add whatever toppings your little one enjoys. For George it’s a little coconut, blueberries and raspberries!
Greek Yogurt Quinoa Bowl
Start off by cooking your quinoa. I use the white quinoa, as George tends to prefer that. Quinoa is so full of protein that this is my new go to breakfast for him. Once cooked I add a few spoonfuls of unsweetened Greek yogurt , a little honey or agave nectar with a fresh fruit of choice. When I say he loves this, that would be an understatement. He loudly says Mmm while eating this and has yet to refuse it! Win!
What are breakfast ideas that you feed your little ones? Seriously, leave them below as I am always on the search for new recipes!
