These 3 healthy energy bites will begin your day on a sweet note. As a mom, these are lifesavers when I am running out the door in the morning. Most Sundays I head to the kitchen before I go to bed to whip up a batch of these bites. They are the perfect snack when you need something sweet in the afternoons and make the best breakfast. My husband and baby both approve them which is a double win!
Peanut Butter Bites
1 cup of peanut butter (I have also used almond butter too!)
2 tbsp of honey
1/2 cup of oats
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
1/4 cup (or more to your liking!) chocolate chips
Combine ingredients and roll into balls. Allow to harden in the fridge.
Banana Nut Bites
1/2 cup of almond butter
1 cup of chopped almonds
1 tbsp of honey
1 scoop of chocolate protein powder
Combine ingredients and roll into balls. I sometimes roll mine in toasted crushed almonds for an extra nutty flavor!
Chocolate Fitness Balls
10 whole dates pitted
2 cups almonds
2 scoops of vanilla protein powder
1 tbsp of chia seeds
1 tbsp cacao powder
1 tbsp of coconut oil
Unsweetened shredded coconut
Combine all ingredients into food processor and blend. Add a little water to create a paste type mixture. Roll into balls and roll through the shredded coconut. Allow to harden in the fridge.
There you have my favorite healthy energy bites. We all have that go to snack. I would love to hear what is yours! I’m trying hard to make healthy choices this year. That is why I have found if I make up a batch of these bites the first part of a new week, it is that much easier to make the right decision. Although some days french fries win. 🙂
I hope you all have a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by! Remember if you are out tomorrow and want to stop by World Market in Covington, come say hi! We will be decorating the cutest little Easter candy jars and I will have 3 Easter baskets to show case all the goodies World Market has this time of year. Oh and there will be a $100 World Market Gift Card raffle. You do not want to miss that! XO!
