I had all of the intentions to write a Father’s Day post for today, but my husband worked late and I procrastinated taking photos earlier in the week of him and our little boy so that post will just have to wait till Monday! Today’s post is super yummy and so easy to make. I literally had all the ingredients in my pantry and fridge and was able to whip this up without making a trip to the store. That’s a win if you moms know what I mean! 🙂
This scrumptious dessert is great for the summer months as we head into BBQ season and lots of outdoor festivities. July 4th anyone?! I love cream cheese based desserts and when you thrown chocolate into the mix, it’s a definite winner. For this dessert I used 60% chocolate chips to add to the richness of this dessert. I really love the fact that it’s not overly sweet!
I hope you have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!
Chocolate Cream Cheese Berry Tart
Crust:
1 package of graham crackers crushed
1/4 cup of sugar
1 stick of butter
Filling:
1 carton of cool whip
1 package of cream cheese
1 cup of chocolate chips melted (make sure they are cooled!)
1 tsp of vanilla flavoring
1/8 cup of heavy whipping cream
Topping:
1 carton of rasberries
1 carton of blueberries
For the crust combine ingredients and place in a 8” tart pan. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Cool in fridge.
Meanwhile mix together cream cheese and cool whip. Make sure they are room temperature. Add vanilla. Melt the chocolate chips and allow to cool. Once cooled add to the cream cheese mixture with the vanilla and heavy whipping cream. More whipping cream can be added if you feel the mixture is too stiff.
Add to the crust and top with the fresh berries. Chill for at least 5 hours.
Enjoy!
