Ya’ll I am loving this gorgeous Loop and Bond cashmere scarf. Although the days have been very warm here in Louisiana, this is the perfect scarf to grab when the temps cool down. The classic pattern and gorgeous navy color make it suitable for men or women. My husband borrowed it the other day and did not want to give it back!
Ok, so I talked on Monday about incorporating more raw elements into my blog posts. Let’s start off with a struggle. Comparing. It is something that I am too often guilty of. It deprives me of my joy. Social media is one place I have to guard against this weakness. Whether it is me comparing myself to another mother who seems to have it all together or my blog to another blog. Oh and don’t even get me started on all the gorgeous, perfect white kitchens and living rooms that I drool over. This year, I am more determined than ever to fight this fight and win!
Am I the only one that feels like girls struggle with this issue more than guys? Why? What makes us fall into this trap? We are so quick to compare our our homes, our jobs, our looks and so on. I believe that my comparing can clue me in on insecurities in my life. Finding out those insecurities has helped me know what areas I need to work on.
When I start to compare, I know I need to take a spiritual check up. For me it comes down to an ungratefulness issue. The minute I start writing down my blessings I change my attitude. Gratitude is the perfect antidote for comparison.
