Styling A Glass Coffee Table

Styling a Glass Coffee Table

I am so excited to share with you how I styled my glass coffee table today! This is Pottery Barn’s Leona coffee table and I literally have wanted it for 2 years. For Christmas this year, I decided to pull the trigger and buy it! I honestly could not be happier. Minus the finger prints and milk drips from George, most days it is a beauty and really elevated our living space. I love that the glass and mirrored effect keep things light and airy. Our previous coffee table was dark brown and so clunky. This is a welcomed change. On any given day though, if you were to stop by, most of these items would be put far out of G’s reach. 😉

My friend who is an interior designer was kind enough to give me these fabulous tips that are too good not to share with you! I had no idea where to begin in styling this piece and these reminders helped me along the way. Christine, I hope I did it right! 🙂

– Group items in odd numbers

– Use a mix of horizontal and vertical items to keep it varied

– Add something organic, spherical, or textured to spice things up

– Think about the room – is it casual chic or ultra glam? Pick objects and finishes accordingly

– A few hints of metallic (gold is still hot) help add some glitter and catch the light

– Large format art books are great for staggering the heights of the groupings – a must

The one piece I really love is the driftwood tray. It adds a bit of natural beauty to the mix. I like the simplicity of having that be the only item on the bottom tier. I have also seen others use this space for their coffee table books. My coffee table book collection needs a bit of help! 🙂

I hope this helps you and gives you ideas on how to spruce up you space just in time for spring. It is amazing how just a few new items can really change a room. Thanks for stopping by and I hope your weekend is lovely!
