July 4th Dessert Kabob Bar

IMG_4365

Who is ready for the long weekend?! Me! Me! Last weekend Chris worked the entire weekend so we didn’t get much family time. This weekend I’m hoping to change that by grilling out and watching George play in his little pool.

This holiday weekend got me thinking about a low key dessert for entertaining guests. I wanted something that was different but easy and not heavy. I have seen so many ideas for 4th of July fruit kabobs that it got me thinking along those lines. Why not have a dessert kabob bar that guests can fix their own kabobs and top them with various toppings.  I literally put this together in about 15 minutes.

Of course I went with a red, white and blue theme for the 4th but you can literally do anything you want to change it up. Brownie bites, cheesecake bites, or cookie dough bites. The possibilities are endless. I went with angel food cake and sugar cookie bites and chose dark chocolate, white chocolate and whipped cream as my toppings. It’s light and fun for everyone to pick what they want! Easy, right?!

I hope ya’ll have a great long weekend! XO!
