Christmas Gift Basket For Children With World Market

Nothing says the holidays like good Christmas music.  Today, I am so excited to partner with Cost Plus World Market to bring your this Christmas basket for children. World Market has made gift giving easy this year, even for the smallest people in your life. If those little guys love music, this basket is for them!  From sipping hot chocolate in these cute mugs,  to building the gingerbread truck, this basket has all those Christmas activities that will get you and your child in the holiday spirit while listening to festive tunes.

This year, World Market has teamed up with Universal Music and GRAMMY® Award-nominated, multi-platinum superstar Jessie J. and her new Christmas album, “This Christmas Day”. Together they are hosting the Star Maker Song contest. All you have to do is create a video of yourself singing Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town. You can create your own musical accompaniment, sing a cappella, or use the instrumental version with lyrics found here. Submissions using non-original music will be disqualified. The videos will be judged by a panel of qualified judges (90%) and by Public Voting (10%). Judges will score the
videos based on Voice (60%), Performance (20%), Creativity/Originality (20%). The Grand Prize is a professional recording session with a top music producer plus a $1,000 World Market Gift Card. The winning performance is chosen by Jessie J. herself!
Head on over to enter here. Make sure you have all your fabulous videos in by 12/8/18. Don’t forget to share your video on your social media so all your friends can vote for YOU! George is a big music fan and will start dancing upon hearing most songs.  Since I am a piano teacher in addition to blogger, he gets to sit in on a lot of my lessons.  He always tries to play his version of the songs he hears.  I love that he loves music and can only pray it develops into him wanting lessons in the future!  Music has always been a way I can give back to others.  My mom  brought me and my siblings as we grew up to the nursing home several times a year to play music for the residents.  Seeing the smiles that various songs put on their face always made these endeavors worth it.  Music can take you down memory lane and connect you to times past. Christmas music is definitely a nostalgic part of the holidays.  I can remember how different songs made me so excited for December 25th.  It makes me smile when I see George’s face light up as he hears his favorite Christmas tunes.

Since this time of year can be a bit snowy and cold, I put together a Christmas basket for George full of activities we can do during these weeks leading up to Christmas.  Having our favorite songs on in the background from this CD is the icing on the cake.   George loves to sit down and craft.  I love that this gingerbread set is actually a truck instead of a house.  My car loving little boy is going to love putting this together. The ugly sweater Christmas ornament craft is  a fun way to not take your tree too seriously.  I have a feeling, it will be these types of ornaments that I hold onto as the years roll on.  No Christmas is complete without singing along to your favorite Christmas songs.  This cute little keyboard is the perfect accompaniment to this fabulous CD.  I can’t wait to watch George try to play along! After a long snowy day, reading a few books is a great place to end.  With our favorite songs on in the background we can wind down while we read The Nutcracker and Llama Llama Holiday Drama.  These Christmas books are a great way to end each day during this special time.

If you are on the hunt for fun activities for your child this year, go ahead and grab a few of these fabulous finds from World Market.  You can even pick up that perfect gift wrap while you are shopping! All you locals can check out the store in NYC here.  Make sure you do not forget the “This Christmas Day” CD (purchase here) to get you in that holiday spirit!
