The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is one of those must not miss shopping experiences each year. Whether you shop online (that’s me!) or in store the deals are incredible. If you are new to the sale like I was last year, then allow me to explain what it is and why you need to shop it. Each year in July Nordstrom runs a sale of all the fall/winter merchandise before most stores are even thinking about the next season. This sale literally has a cult following. The deals that you can score pre fall rival those that you normally would have to wait for on Black Friday.
Last year I remember being overwhelmed by the shopping experience. This year, since I am moving to a cold weather state, I am making a list of EVERYTHING I will need. I feel like taking an inventory of what you have from last year and what you need for this new season is important. It is super easy to go insane during the sale and buy a bunch of things that you might not need. Having a list will keep you grounded and eliminate you spending time sending or taking items back.
This sale is the perfect time to buy fall basics. Last year, I scooped up basic long sleeve tees for layering, tunics and turtle necks. One of my favorite brands to look to is BP. This already affordable brand is super cheap during the sale. I also look for a great new bootie or pair of boots. This year I am afraid that Uggs and duck boots will be calling my name! If you are in need of a winter coat, make sure to snag one during the sale. The markdowns are great for this large ticket item.
During the sale do not forget all the fabulous beauty products that are discounted. There are tons of make up options and sets that are great deals. Nordstrom has a great home decor selection and I always snag a few of my favorite candles!:) I would love to hear what you are excited to buy this season!
