7 Month Pregnancy Update

7 Month Pregnancy Update

Hey friends!  I can hardly believe we are a week away from Christmas!  Today actually marks my 7 months of pregnancy.  I big milestone for any mom.  This second pregnancy has gone so so fast.  It is almost scary how fast it has flown by.  The main difference between being pregnant and having another little one is you really do not have much time to dwell on the current state of your body.  Each morning I roll out of bed with a few huffs and puffs and start my day.  George keeps me going all day, every day!  I feel like I actually have enjoyed my pregnancy more this time around because he keeps me distracted on other things during the day rather than the aches and pains I am feeling! 🙂

My appetite is thankfully better.  I had a slow start to weight gain as a result of my appendectomy.  Since the end of September, my appetite has gotten better and I have slowly made up for the lost pounds.  The holidays have proved to be fun so far with all the yummy goodies lying around.  George and I made these chocolate crinkle cookies over the weekend for a cookie swap and y’all I am only slightly embarrassed to say I ate 6 in 2 days! Yikes!  Seriously though, if you love a fudgy chocolate cookie, check these out!

As far as sleep goes this time around being pregnant, I am sleeping so much better.  It must have something to do with having a 4-year-old! With George, I really struggled with insomnia.  I am thankful that has not been a big issue this pregnancy.  I find that taking magnesium and calcium before bedtime has helped me get into that deeper sleep mode.  You pregnant moms should try it out!

I have received a few questions about the name of our little girl.  Unfortunately at the moment, we do not have one! I really want to nail one down but Chris and I seem to be on different planets when it comes to a name.  We both want a strong name, so on that, we agree!  Family names have always been important to me so I keep going over the family tree!  I’m hopeful that before we head to the hospital we will have decided something.

Dressing the bump this time around has been fun.  I love that I am carrying in the cooler months and can throw on vests and layering pieces to streamline my look.  I always think I look cute in the front and then as soon as I turn to the side I feel like a whale!  That is when vests and long cardigans come in handy right now! This BeachLunchLounge dress was perfect for church this past Sunday.  It is non-maternity but also perfect if you are rocking a baby bump this year.  Make sure to check out their fabulous items this season.  I have not found one item that I do not like!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day.
