If this lace blouse doesn’t scream spring, I am not sure what does! This beauty has been hanging in my closet for weeks waiting for spring like temps. Yesterday I said to heck with Ithaca’s weather problems and wore it to church! Even though I had to wear my winter coat over it, it was nice to wear this spring lace blouse out of the house! Today George and I head back home to New Orleans for a week. To say I am excited would be an understatement. We haven’t even been away for 3 months yet, but it sure seems longer than that.
Outdoor time and sunshine will be on the agenda for the next week. We have made plans to take G to the zoo, splash pad, parks and of course, eat some good NOLA food. There is something about being away from home that makes it that much sweeter. I would be lying if I said the past 3 months haven’t been hard. They have definitely been the hardest since moving away. The cold, while it hasn’t been as bad as I imagined, has a way of isolating you. People tend to stay indoors more and it is just so much quieter. Friday night, Chris and I went on a date to celebrate our 8 year anniversary. It was super nice outside that night with the sun shining. The entire down town was packed with people enjoying their meal out doors. It was just the thing I needed to see! There is hope and we are almost back to those days! 🙂
I hope you Monday is fabulous. If it is quiet here over the next week. You know why! 🙂
