I thought it would be fun to round up a few of my favorite summer skin and hair products. One of the fun parts of blogging is that I get to try tons of products that PR companies send me. Skin care has become an obsession. I guess hitting 30 causes you to realize that you are in the aging process. I am always up for trying a new exfoliant or scrub to bring out glowy skin. These are a few of my favorite summer skin products.
nyl Organic Shimmer Scrub – this little scrub has quickly become my all time favorite. There are so many things to love about this scrub from the bright citrus scent to the pretty packaging. In my opinion though, the small list of organic ingredients makes this scrub stand out in a world full of toxic bath products. Sometimes I really wonder what half the beauty products have in them, with nyl you have no reason to wonder. Made in small batches in a kitchen (yep you read that right!) and not in a big factory, I love that when I use this shimmer scrub I am getting a fun summer glow without any of the nasty stuff.
Tarte Radiance Drops – This product has totally taken over my foundation. I initially bought this back in January when my skin was still in the throes of winter dullness. I loved the dewy look it provided and since the weather has warmed up have completely used this in the place of my foundation. Foundation is just plain irritating to me in the warmer months and these radiance drops keep my skin looking fresh without the melted foundation look. Win!
Glo Skin Beauty Exfoliant – I recently had a facial and was able to try this product out. At the end of my appointment I loved it so much that I bought it. It is a plant based enzyme exfoliant that is super gentle but gets the job down. I love how soft it leaves my skin. Because it is a gentle exfoliant, I am able to use this product 2-3 times a week with no issue. The best thing I started doing last year with my skin routine was exfoliating consistently. I can honestly tell a huge difference in the look and texture of my skin. Exfoliating is one of the biggest keys in stopping the again process!
As far as hair care goes, generally I am pretty basic. Give me a straightner or curling iron and a little hairspray and I am good to go! I was recently sent these Volaire hair products and truly love them! The Air Magic Texturizing Spray and the Uplift Volumizing Mist have given my hair new life. I love to use the mist when I get out of the shower. I towel dry my hair and then spray this miracle worker in it. By the time my hair has dried it feels noticeable bouncier and thicker. The texturizing spray is a great option to add body to your hair without it weighing it down. I truly love these two products and would highly recommend them!
