Women's Fiction This Holiday Season

I know, I know, we just started October, however, the holiday season is just around the corner. If you ask me there is nothing better than great women’s fiction, a cup of tea and a cozy throw to usher in the festive season. I recently had the opportunity to read the 2 books pictured here, Coming Home For Christmas by NYT Bestselling author RaeAnne Thayne and A Wedding In December by USA Today Bestselling author Sarah Morgan. These 2 books were definitely page-turners and have gotten me all excited about the upcoming Christmas season. Each book is filled with vivid details of snowy mountains, charming cabins, and love. What more could you want?! If you are on the hunt for romance books or women’s fiction HQN has you covered. They definitely have a novel for everyone.

Let’s dive into each book. Coming Home For Christmas by RaeAnne Thayne will have you feeling all the emotions possible. The Hamiltons were by any account a happily married couple until tragedy strikes. Between suffering from postpartum depression and experiencing a tragic car accident, Elizabeth Hamilton has been utterly lost. The car accident left her in a coma and she struggled to regain her memory. 7 years later after leaving home thinking, she was not the best mother for her 2 children, Luke, her husband finds her in a near-by town. He is unaware of everything his wife has experienced and expresses deep hurt and anger for her leaving them with no notice. Only after hearing his wife’s story of the accident and lack of memory, Luke decides to give her another chance. Can baking cookies, decorating a Christmas Tree and attending her children’s school plays bring this fractured family back together? Make sure to get the book to find out! I sincerely loved this book and all the emotions I felt reading it. I could identify with what each character was feeling and especially feel empathetic to a mom lost in her own grief and depression. RaeAnne Thayne weaves so many emotional and festive elements in this book and it did not disappoint!

The second book, A Wedding In December by Sarah Morgan was a heartwarming tale sprinkled with Christmas magic and weddings! The White family arrives in snowy Colorado from England to celebrate their youngest daughter’s whirlwind wedding.  The first to arrive are Maggie and Nick, the bride’s parents and they are definitely hiding a huge secret.  After being married for years, they have been separated for 6 months but their daughters are unaware of this.  Not wanting to put a damper on the wedding plans they agree to go as a couple and tell their daughters their plan to divorce after the wedding.  Through a series of events, Maggie and Nick find themselves set up on the most romantic, winter filled week.  Will the time together be enough to save their fractured relationship? In the meantime, Katie, the oldest daughter is hiding a secret of her own and is at a crossroads in her career.  Always on the lookout for her younger sister Rosie, Katie attends the wedding week in hopes of breaking up her sister’s hasty romance.  By the end of the book, each character learns a lot about themselves and winter romance is definitely in the air!

I hope you will check out these fabulous books this upcoming holiday season.  Thanks so much for stopping by!
