Gift Ideas With The Wow Factor

When it comes to giving gifts, it’s actually an art. You don’t have to empty your bank account contents to provide somebody with the perfect gift. You already know the person you’re purchasing it for.  Instead of breaking the bank trying to find something that they will never use, or they may not even like, spend some time thinking about previous conversations, the things they like to do, places they want to visit, and the food they want to eat. Try to make a gift as personalized as possible. You want to convey how you feel. And although there are more ways than just gifts that can show that, sometimes a gift can be ideal.

Music

If your friend is a bit of a music lover, you can purchase them some fantastic headphones. A couple of amazing options are the Bose Noise Cancelling 700, the Sony WH-1000x M3, or the Monoprice Monolith M1069. There is a lot of bang for your buck. They are a little bit of the higher end of the pricing range though.  If you want something a little smaller, there are some brilliant in-ear options. The Cambridge Audio Melomania 1, the Optoma NuForce BE Sport4, and the 1More Triple Driver In-Ear Headphones are all fantastic options.

One of the best systems is Sonos, if they like to listen to music in the home. He has a range of speakers that can look slick in any home environment, and if you want something that is even more functional, IKEA and SONOS have made the SYMFONISK range. A record player might just be the ticket if you want to go something a bit more retro.  I have this one on my wishlist whenever we put down roots and buy a home.  A record player is just always a classic!

Sparkles

Most people have a stash of jewelry that they wear for the best occasions, and other items they like to wear every day. It depends who you’re buying for, but guys if you’re buying for a girlfriend, it might be time to look at some stunning diamond engagement rings. If that’s not quite where you’re at in life, then earrings are a fantastic gift too. A simple square-cut diamond or CZ can go with so many different outfits.  Personally, stud earrings are my favorite.  Chris bought me a simple citrine stud years ago and it is still one of my go-to earrings for everyday wear.

Girls, if you are looking for something special for that guy in your life consider engraved cufflinks.  They can add a personal touch, they aren’t used often but will make a statement when used. And tie clips are a great option too. Adding a little bit of sparkle means that sometimes the smallest box can make the most significant impact.

Comfort

Have you ever had somebody complain about being too comfortable? Probably not. Consider comfort to be one of the no-brainer gifts.  I know for me as a mom, cozy gifts are just my thing!

Matching silk pajamas are an excellent gift for almost anybody. They are usually pretty enough to wear around the house and perfect for sleeping in. If you choose the right style, it is often the case that silk pajama tops look quite like a shirt. And it can be paired with heels and some nice jeans. Aside from that option, chenille socks and scarves are so soft and warm over the winter and they can be used year after year.

If you want to splash out a little bit more and consider a cashmere sweater or a cardigan. You probably already know what your recipient likes to wear in terms of colors, so you can shop in confidence. Just pay attention to the size.

The gifts that have the real wow factor are the ones that you purchase because you know the person so well. You’ve got something that they’re going to use and really going to enjoy rather than something that will be left gathering dust or get regifted.

Take some time to listen to what they talk about a lot, add that to the knowledge you have then and it shouldn’t be hard to come up with the perfect gift.  Remember Mother’s Day is this Sunday so if you are on the fence about what to get mom, a great handbag or flowers will always do! 🙂  Have a great Monday!
