This HAPP Brand diaper bag review is not sponsored and just my own thoughts! I absolutely adore this chic diaper bag as opposed to all the boring and ugly ones out there! I mean if you are going to carry around a diaper bag as a purse and baby bag then you might as well find something that looks good.
Size and functionality are the 2 most important points to consider when purchasing a diaper bag. I will cover why I like the HAPP brand for both of these areas.
When I had George I opted for a tote bag with a ToteSavvy insert. (You can read my post here!) I still love that insert and will definitely use it when we travel and I need more room. However, hauling around a tote size bag with a baby carrier was just a lot.
This time around I decided to buy a diaper bag. If you have ever shopped for diaper bags you know all the good the bad and the ugly…there seems to be more of the latter 2. A lot of the bags have horrible colors, terrible patterns, and are just plain boring.
In recent years I have loved seeing various bloggers and other moms create diaper bags that are not only functional but cute! From Freshly Picked to this HAPP Brand diaper bags are getting a serious makeover.
I decided on the HAPP Brand because I loved that I could wear this as a crossbody. A lot of moms like the idea of a backpack and while I am not opposed to it, I figured I was used to wearing a crossbody bag anyway so I might as well stick with it.
The cross-body and the backpack diaper bag allow moms to be hands-free which is GREAT! The HAPP Brand also makes a backpack diaper bag as well.
Size always is something to consider when purchasing a diaper bag. Since this is my second baby, I know what I used for George and what I didn’t.
I also have found that many traditional diaper bags are just plain too big. Most of them feel like you are hauling around an overnight bag. Now with 2 kids I cannot for the life of my figure out why anyone would need that large of a bag but to each their own!
As a nursing mom, I feel like I do not need as much in my bag as I would if I was bottle feeding. Today, I am laying out all the necessities that I pack in my HAPP diaper bag. After I took these photos, I found my cardholder and figured instead of packing a full-size wallet, I could easily pack that instead with the essentials. A wallet fits just fine in the bag though!
You can see that I can fit an extra change of clothing, diapers, wipes, a bottle, pacifier, burp cloth, wallet, keys, phone, hand sanitizer, lipgloss, nursing cover, and baby balm. I feel like these are the essentials for a newborn.
HAPP Brand makes a large size diaper bag that they recommend for newborns. I love the way it looks but just wanted something smaller. In the end, I went with the Paige Mini Diaper Bag in Dusty Rose.
They have the larger Paige version here. If a backpack diaper bag is what you are looking for, HAPP has that too. Their colors are beautiful and will compliment any outfit you wear.
I would love to hear if you have a favorite diaper bag that you love! I cannot recommend the HAPP bag enough.
Updated On March 26,2021 – I just want to add that a year later and I still LOVE this Happ diaper bag. It is the perfect size to drop Poppy off at the church nursery and not hand over a huge bag to the ladies.
At a year old, I leave it in the car so I have the diapers, wipes and outfit change ready when I need it. I always get compliments on how gorgeous the bag is too! 🙂
I have found that this bag is easy to clean with a damp cloth and that it DOES NOT stain easily. The bag itself has held up so well that I am sure if baby number 3 comes along I can use it again.
