Ready to toss those bulky sweaters and muted colors for springtime goodness? With the grass already turning green and azaleas blooming, it is safe to say that spring has pretty much arrived in Louisiana. Spring 2019 trends consist of easy updates and fun patterns. Regardless of your style, there is something for everyone this season.

The easiest update for any closet is revising your wardrobe colors. This season is all about the bold and soft. Opposites such as a strong magenta or a pastel blue, a bright orange or calming lavender were colors that rocked the runway. Designer Ulla Johnson does a fabulous job weaving in the gorgeous magenta color to her collection here. Head to toe neutrals, while classic, was also a big theme. For most designers, the timeless khaki trench coat worked its way in many spring looks.

Every season there seem to be one or two prints that stand out more than others. This year, the bandana/scarf print pattern was huge themes designers flocked to. This print showed up in more ways than just on scarves. Think paisley printed pants, maxi dresses, and blouses. Polka dots got a major makeover this spring as well. Gone are the days where this print is seen as school girl cute. It showed up in chic buttoned up dresses, classic blouses, and glamorous cocktail attire. It would not be spring without gingham prints. I am loving the shoes and handbags that use this fun print!

Ready for an adventure? The safari jacket got updated into dresses and jumpsuits. Think lots of pockets and buttons and you are on the right track. You can catch a glimpse here of just how much designers gravitated towards buttons this season! If a texture is what you are seeking, the crochet trend has everyone booking that tropical vacation. From crocheted tops, dresses and swimsuits this is one trend you will want to buy lots of as the Louisiana temperature heats up.

Spring is a perfect time to add color, pattern and a bit of fun to your closet. What trend are you most excited to try?
