Homemade Fall Spiced Latte

Homemade Fall Spiced Latte

Happy Wednesday friends!  This homemade fall spiced latte will have you skipping the line at Starbucks and saving yourself a few bucks!  I whipped this easy latte up this morning and I am here to tell you it was a treat.  I’m a sucker for anything spice this time of year.

Did you know, that you don’t need any fancy equipment to make a latte at home?  That’s right, no fancy machines, frothers, or pods just a good old mason jar a few simple ingredients that you probably already have on hand.   The one ingredient that makes all the difference to me in creating a creamy, decadent at-home latte is condensed milk.  It is the perfect sweetener and really binds all the ingredients up when they are shaken.  I’m not sure I know anyone that doesn’t like condensed milk! Yum. (Since I wrote this post, I ordered a $19 frother just for fun and am so happy with it!  It doesn’t break the bank and adds that creamy layer of foam we all want!  It’s linked below.)

You could obviously use any milk you like, but I chose half and half and I think by using it my latte was extra foamy and creamy.  If you vigorously shake the ingredients together in a mason jar you will get a nice foam.  Want extra foam….pull out your French press and give it a few good pumps!  I was able to sit in my backyard and enjoy this yummy latte on our first kinda “cool” morning here in FL and I plan on making many more this cozy season.  This recipe could be easily adapted to create so many at-home latte combinations.  What would your combo be?  Thanks for stopping by!
