DIY Essential Oil Room Spray

DIY Essential Oil Room Spray

For this Wellness Wednesday, I am chatting all about me newest obsession and that is a DIY essential oil room spray. Yep. This spray has none of the horrible toxic ingredients that you get when you purchase from Bath and Body works, Glade or any of your favorite off the shelf brands. I do not pretend to know everything about essential oils and will not act like I do! However, I noticed that when I am around wall plugins, room sprays and even candles I get a headache. The synthetic fragrances really mess with me. Last year during Christmas time, I purchased a candle with the Christmas tree scent from everyone’s favorite candle store! 🙂 It wasn’t burning for too long before my nose started running and I started feeling sick. Whatever the fragrance was in that candle, it made me feel sick every time I burned it until I finally threw it out.

I am not going to lie, I still like candles from time to time, but since I began using more essential oils to “perfume” my home and surroundings I rarely light them as much. This easy DIY essential oil room spray is heaven in a bottle. The best part about creating your own spray is you can choose the oils you like best. You can also choose the oils that you need for your mood. 🙂 For me I created a simple relaxing blend with lavender, stress away (my all time favorite) and spearmint. It hits all the right notes of being a calming force with just a hint of brightness from the spearmint. I have used Young Living Essential Oils for the past few years and really enjoy them. With that being said, I know they are not the only company out there that sells 100% pure essential oils. Just be wary from buying off the shelf oils at like a Walmart as many of them have fillers and are not 100% pure. Young Living is pricey but at least I know I am getting the quality I am looking for. As a member of the Young Living family you can receive 24% off your first 3 months and 10% off after. If you are interested at all in signing up shoot me a message or leave a comment! I would be happy to help! 🙂

Now for the best part of the post! Let’s get after making this DIY essential oil room spray. Your home will be smelling fresh in no time!

I used these amber glass mist spray bottles to get started!
